Hey! TZOMPANTLI is finally in the app store! it's called TZOMPANTLI FREE, as there was a problem calling it DEMO (it looks like aple has it's own subsystem for demos, test flight i think) and then some problems with the app icon being "too frightening for young audiences".

Hey StriderSpinel,  Im curious as to how you handled cool down for moves.  Like to keep people from spamming a job into an infinite combo.

well, the best way is to pay clear attention to the active rames parameters like Force aplied to the opponent and corner push, as they would help the opponent to recover and not be in a disadvantage. other useful way is to give the character more recovery time in it's animations depending on how hard the attack is, for example, in the video above, this character has a special punch that crumples the oponent, but the crumple animation is 150 frames long, and the recovery is just 30... so it can be spammed a lot, and be an infinite... what i did was create a new move that's a "CONFIRM HIT ANIMATION", so if the move hits, the character will do a longer animation to recover while the opponent is crumpling.

those are the thing i do to have less possibilites for spamming and creaing infinites.

HOW'S IT GOING?

i won't put this on the game site yet, as the reveal shall come later, and the UFE forums is more of a developers space as i see it, so, i wanted to share a bit of the process for the Final Boss of the Game, SAMAEL ARCHANGEL. The idea derived from a concept image of a hypothetical fallen Michael Archangel, and i liked it so much that it turned into the final BOSS. i still have to give him a proper ia and put it in the game. What do you guys think?

all the other versions (MAC, iOS, and Android) are still in developing, but you know, real life, it kinda gets in the way sometimes XD.

as you can see the major changes are due to the new interface with unity 5 and UFE 1.6

Also we've added the C1INPUT library so now you can configure your buttons any way you want!

there's more music, more characters, and a bit of a story mode (right now is only 1 scene with some text, but gives a little context)

It's been a Hard Week! we took Tzompantli to a couple of events here in México and got a great reception, but was some hard work indeed!

it's been an awesome year and UFE just made it better giving us the tools to make some of ours dreams come true, and in more than just having a great way to make the games we want to make, but now tzompantli is growing bigger and yesterday we received a couple of XDK (XBOX ONES DEVELOPMENT KITS) so we are giving it all to bring our project to consoles and fulfill a long awaited milestones for our professional lives.

Basically a couple of months ago... or a little more, my brother checked this page and send all the info we have on the game, and some time later the xbox guys emailed us telling our game could be publish in xbox one.. we signed some papers and then we got the development kits. One of the important parts is that you need to be a Corporate Entity (we are just three people but a friend made the company a couple of years ago).

the xbox didn't cost perse, but as they mailed them to mexico, we had to pay some taxes... sad

alright! all characters are complete and we are now working on other aspects of the game... one such aspect is alternate costumes...  i made one using the very same skeleton i used in the original character (the skeletons all part from the same basis, but their proportions and some add ons are different) and riggin' it to a new mesh... imported it, copied the hit collisions script created the materials and the prefab, so now if i change the prefab in the character file, it works fine... i supose is now a matter fo making a way the player can choose between prefabs (costumes) while selecting characters
