Hi,

as UFE has no change position feature i did the trick with self applied forces:

First, the animation makes the characters turn super small and go bellow floor level, this doesn't conflict with the Ground plane, as this is just animation and we are not really moving the center of the character, just pretending it.

Then i add a self applied force, a fairle strong one, here's 35X (it's very important to check the reset x and y velocity) and just a couple of frames later, give it a sudden stop, in this case putting 0 in x velocity, and 30Y as the character makes a uppercut (again, checking the velocity reset).

this creates the illusion of a teleport, and at this time in the animation the character has regained his normal size.

for example, for the FIERCE version of this moves, i just make him move a bit further, making X velocity 50, using exactly the same animation and setup.

Interesting. I'll have to try this technique for my ninja character who uses a smoke bomb and reappears from any direction. Was the shrinking done in Unity? And I'd love to see an animation where the fighters swap places

Today we had kind of our last big development reunion for TZOMPANTLI, basically there's nothing else to it, we are working on porting it to others platforms and hoping the greenlight catches on.

Hey mate, I wanted to thank you for explaining how to create a teleportation effect.  Its a great solution and it doesn't break the game.

The publishing process is taking some time, so... i made ANOTHER CHARACTER that almost ended up in the editing floor and decided to save him.

He is Juan Grande, an old angel Hunter, and the first character i make with multiple fighting stances, in this case he can transform into a feathered Coyote and acquires a new set of moves... this is achive not by code per se, but by meticulously working the animations.

There's two more characters left in te pool... one unfortunately would be cut from the game... maybe, a matter of copyright issues, working now to have him in the game! the other is the boss, Samael, wich can be seen in a couple of screenshots here in the forums, but i think he may get his own trailer soon...

May I say Strider that you are an inspiration? I finally moved forward with my game and after seeing your tutorial on basic moves, I'm happy to see it demonstrated. I've been meaning to ask, how can I set up a move to take the custom hits? I was thinking about just using Override moves, like in Tekken where they react to a jab one way, and an overhand another. How can I set my moves to react to custom hits? And I think UFE needs a face down state

The very first version to come out should be the MAC version... but my brother came along with some problems while signing the app... then Steam, the first version will be quite simple, but we will eventually add some things like trophies and more characters, as well as balance patchs if necessary... would really like to have a concrete date, but i'm relying in my team... and they have a lot of work too, so, i HOPE october...

i hate it's taken so long, but i really think october could be it...
