My Experiment of UFE 1.6 with New Unity 5.3.1

As new version was waiting for approval I tried my old ufe 1.6 code with unity 5.3.1
I tried for Android only.

Notes:

Glitches are present in probability of 1% -2% . it likes flickering at random time interval. Its like old television flicker.

After match finish and loosing opponent get up and stay in some random pose which can be idle or trying to get idle.

Winning player (I was winning) also executes last moves again but once half finish it cuts.

To be safe for my live game I stopped working ahead for my old ufe 1.6 project with latest  unity version.

Unity 5.3.2 is out, is it ok to update with UFE v1.7.0, or should we hold off?

I get a FMOD error when the game starts and the game will not run.  May be because I added my own title screen option, but not too sure.  That's why I am here asking if anyone else is having the same problem.  I am on 5.3.2.  Also, what is new in 1.7.1? I do not want to have to replace my menu scripts again, that was a pain.

This happens when you try to load videos on the Intro Screen. I wrote a note about these under the installation page:

It seems to be an issue with Unity, but there doesn't seem to have any direct impact to the game.

Since its a Unity issue, currently there is no solution for the problem. Alternatively you can replace VideoIntroScreen for TextureIntroScreen (located in the same folder) under the GUI Options. That will stop the error by replacing the video for a static intro image.

I downloaded latest bundle version from unity asset store.

In new version of 1.7.1 I tried for networking match for Android.

I tried with 3 different Android devices .

I tried  Wifi hot spot and router connection.

Now match does not start .

Its kit to create your own game from it.

When I download the android version from ufe demo page it works smile I can easily create room and play between all the devices I have.

When I download asset store version and make build from it then it fails for LAN functionality.

Note:
I have not changed single line of code in the kit and just added control freak.

Any idea ?

Is the root motion option on moves working ? I'v been trying to use it on my animations ( with root transforms baked and not baked )
But it seems that after the animation character always jumps back to the game objects position not other way around ?

Am I doing something wrong ?

With 1.7 you don't have to make any of the coding changes. I use root motion with mine and the only issue I have is occasionally needing an anim to temporary move a bit on the z axis. You want the to make sure to not bake in the xz transform...

May I know if apk build from ufe base kit is working for android?

I am about to start new game with it so only last hurdle is working functionality of LAN in my case.

Sorry about the delay. It took a while to run all the necessary tests and find the problem. I'll release a fix to the Asset Store soon, but in the meantime you can fix it yourself:

Open UFE\Scripts\UFE.cs, and paste this right below line 1707:

UFE.bluetoothMultiplayerAPI = this.gameObject.AddComponent<NullMultiplayerAPI>();

For reference, this is what you will find on that line:

//UFE.bluetoothMultiplayerAPI.Initialize(uuid);

This should fix the problem. Just fyi, the bluetooth references are there but not functional/supported at the moment on 1.7.

Which network object is useful here?

I know its future update but I just need to pass server ip to client devices so they do not need to type it.

I just purchased UFE and it broke another plugin that I am using in my project and it something I need for my game... it unfortunately broke Scion and I have to remove it for UFE... and also is there a clean way to install UFE to an existing project?
