Now that I know how to use

UFE.DelaySynchronizedAction(action, 1);

Im going to revise the transformation ability a tiny bit and possibly add more features.  All of this is for Immortal Fray.

Re: Activating Image Effects During Moves

I downloaded the shockwave image effect from the asset store.  Once you have that you can look at the example scripts to create your own that calls the shockwave once a particle effect is instantiated.

Re: Activating Image Effects During Moves

pretty amazing! how did you added the image effect on an attack?

Re: Activating Image Effects During Moves

I had to edit a few things in a few of the scripts(MoveInfo, MoveEditorWindow, ContorlScript) and I wrote a
function inside of control script that turns the image effect off.  Really you just need to attach an image effect to the camera and turn it on or off.  Specifically in my project I added the functionality to the slow motion aspect of the move editor.  Then I set the duration of the image effect to be the same as the slow mo effect.  In the video above the effect is at 100 percent speed but lasts for 3 seconds.

So far it works perfectly and doesn't interfere with move linking which is what I wanted.

I can write a tutorial if you guys want but itll have to wait until my next day off.

Re: Activating Image Effects During Moves

if you can ever get to a tutorial that would be great! looks awesome!

My semester is almost over.  Once I integrate the changes I made from my old build into the new one (had to update unity and to 1.8.1), I'll work on the tutorials in this order:

    • Transformation(switching between mesh renderers)

    • Activating Image Effects

    • Animating UI elements

    • Stage Animations

    • Cinematics with Cinema Director Asset

Re: Activating Image Effects During Moves

any chance of the tutorial ?

Sorry I'd love to but I have to wait til the end of July because my motherboard fried.  I'll tell you that I added the functionality to the slow motion feature of a move file.  I just wrote a small tutorial on combining cinema director for better story mode cutscenes.

Re: Activating Image Effects During Moves

Right now I have some time to work on stuff for about a week until the 18th so if anyone wants this feature in their game I can take a few contract jobs to add it into your project.

Re: Activating Image Effects During Moves

wish i saw this post earlier, will you be having any time in the future for contracted jobs?
