it's been an awesome year and UFE just made it better giving us the tools to make some of ours dreams come true, and in more than just having a great way to make the games we want to make, but now tzompantli is growing bigger and yesterday we received a couple of XDK (XBOX ONES DEVELOPMENT KITS) so we are giving it all to bring our project to consoles and fulfill a long awaited milestones for our professional lives.

WOW! IT WORKED! yeah, it took about 1 hour for reimporting all assets but everuthing is back!

no, it didn't crash, but i'm bot sure if it was open when my PC started updating some drivers for the graphic card and even my sound configuration was messed up... but i don't recall exactly if it was open, but that was it, only that...

and at the unity start i get this errors too:

Timestamps (3902) and assets (3900) maps out of sync.

hi, i was just working on a new character for my game and suddenly some files where missing, and then this appears, and no GUI is visible and the game can't start properly!

It's been a Hard Week! we took Tzompantli to a couple of events here in México and got a great reception, but was some hard work indeed!

I'm working a bit on some custom made AI files using the AI templates on UFE.

I can't get the right hang to it yet, and i was wondering, how does the FUZZY AI calculate the desirability parameter for the character, is some kind of random number or does it work in tandem between the rule compliance and aggressiveness level?

My character models have around 10,000 triagular faces, and they work fine. If you check some models from ther games like street fighter 4 they have around 8,000 triangular faces.

Tha magic is in the normal maps.

There's one project around here, Meta Warrior http://www.ufe3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=1055#p1055 that's a BEAT 'EM UP, made By Kazee and his team. It's a Heavily modified UFE engine so maybe you can ask them directly, or wait for the UFE 2.0, as MIstermind has mentioned that in that version there'll be posible to create BEAT 'EM UP games from UFE as a game template.

You can try a similar approach to Mecanim Bot/Joan's Hyakuretsukyaku (UFE\Characters\Mecanim_Joan\Moves\Hyakuretsukyaku.asset).

Notice that under the button sequence we have Button 4 pressed twice, followed by Button 4 as button execution. This means that if you press Button 4 three times it will trigger a move different than what Button 4 would be.

In your case, you can try using Button 4 once as sequence then once again as execution. This means that if you press Button 4 once, the move assigned to Button 4 will trigger, but if you press twice, this other move will come out instead.

hi!

I was wondering.... I want to put a title screen after the opening but before the main menu...basicallyascreen withthe title ofthe ganeand a PRESS START display.

I know it must be a prefab like other screens (win, before and after battle) but i would like to know how to add it to the main game and tell it it's order.

Pretty cool, i just want to say, the faces aren't really fateful to the original design wich is awesome, the lips and eyes are just WAY TOO BIG, and they turn into another character altogether, would recomend to check it.

i'm using the very same unity version... yeah, all the assets where still there but i don't know what happened. Had to return to a previous version (the work of around 3 weeks lost) but well, was not very much at least (tweeks and sounds and stuff). made a copy of the last character and reimported it... so far it's good, but as you say, i made backup now.

don't know what happened, was opening unity, and it never started... was really loosing my temper.

when it finally did after a couple of end task via the task manager, unity imported all the assets again... ALL OF THEM!

and then, the Ground Layer disappeared!

and now, all actions have a bit lag or somthing, every time an animation ends, the character stands frozen for like 10 frames... a lot of moves don't hit or their active frames don't match anymore... or the cinematic options don't enter on the specific frame...

oh man....

my most recent older version of the game is from one month ago...

all the other versions (MAC, iOS, and Android) are still in developing, but you know, real life, it kinda gets in the way sometimes XD.

as you can see the major changes are due to the new interface with unity 5 and UFE 1.6

Also we've added the C1INPUT library so now you can configure your buttons any way you want!

there's more music, more characters, and a bit of a story mode (right now is only 1 scene with some text, but gives a little context)

ok, that helped! looks like that was part of the problem, i just rearranged the buttons on top of the foreground and now it works... my brother said something about the character select itself had something to do with buttons declarations or something like that (he just mentioned it) but at least now i know i can't block the controls like that, so, it's almost solved.

if i reorder some elements it works, except for the characters, i can't select them, just the back button and the stage select work.

The screens are a bit customized, particulary by an png foreground image, wich seamed to stop some buttons from working.
