My character is falling throw the floor. I tried to change the stage and now it is now working

I fixed it by putting back the prefab stage but how do I change the stage to my own and how do I et a collider on the floor

so I just import the new stage to scene and add a floor?

is the floor a single plane that I have set 0,0,0

How do I add a collider to the floor

then what do I do

The easiest way to create your stage is to use the default Training Room so you keep its floor collision in the correct location.  Then just hide/disable the training room mesh and put your own stage in there.

Ok how do I do that and do I do It at the model level or prefab level?

Prefab, then drag it into your folder area to make a new one to use for the new stage. To make any changes to the stage later, put that prefab back in the Hierarchy tab, make any changes, then click the Apply button in the Inspecta and delete the prefab from Hierarchy tab.
