i tried EF-12, it's pretty interesting, has some interesting functions like alternate costumes and alternate fighting styles for every character, and you can make a very tekkenish like game with it, but is still very early in development, the configuration is all done in .XLS files (there's no visual editors) and getting the hang of it can be a really long and a bit confussing process, also, your skeleton needs a lot of extra bones for the ingame functions and the mesh has to be very specific with weight paint and the anims had to be ported to a new format...
also, it crashes at times... it was fun, i spend a think almost a year working on it, and at the end decided to let it go.

I am glad you moved on to UFE... your game would have felt clunky as hell if it used EF-12... and from the look of the interface, hard to put together
