Topic: Tekken Style Throws

Hey guys, if any of you want a tekken style throw system (throw break once the throw connects) instead of the SF style throw system (where you tech the startup throw), here's my approach.
This is based on the throw approach from the tutorial (attempt, confirm, reaction) and hopefully I don't forget any step
Let me know if you would take a different approach

So first, make your attempt NOT techable. You will use your tech move differently
On your Reaction move, make a frame link in the first 10 frames to your Tech move.
In your Tech move, set the required move to the Reaction move and set the proper counter input (left punch for left handed throw, right punch for right handed throw)
Now duplicate the Tech move to a TechReaction move.
In the Tech move, set the opponent override to the TechReaction.
I had to remove the "stun" options in the opponent override for the Confirm move and the Tech move.
Make sure your character has the TechReaction move.

So as soon as the Confirm and Reaction moves start, you have your framelink window to tech from the Reaction move.
Works nicely so far.

Nice! My game is still a construction yard but so far it seems to work nicely.
My game is sort of a mix between For Honor, Tekken and Injustice 2 smile
