Did Unity announce the big network changes? You'd expect that for a big number version change (2018-2019), but they introduced changes that broke the netcode withing a single year's version!

Not too long ago I paid to upgrade to the bundle. Am i gonna have to pay again to upgrade to version 2? plus is there gonna be 2d support. you did the 2d bean man experiment but there's been no public follow up. besides the network stuff is there a feature list for UFE2?

We dont have to upgrade to 2.x if we dont use unity 2018.2 or interested in online .. am i right? already paid for bundle a few years back. anyway for those not upgrading, Ive tested UFE 1.8 with unity 2018.1.9f with a few warnings but runs okay

That is correct. You can still use UFE 1.x on any versions of Unity before 2018.2.

fo example 2d out of the box? hitboxes like in SF4?

That might be a 2.0 only feature, to my knowledge the 1.x patches will only contain bug fixes and patches to make it compatible with later versions of Unity. Although MMind said if a feature isn't too complex he will put it in the 1.x versions.

But isnt 1.8 going to be deprecated from the store? feels the asset is kinda unfulfilled especially "on the upcoming features" if it is no longer supported

UFE 1.x will no longer receive updates and will be removed from the asset store. Every page you see on ufe3d.com will soon be referring to 2.x (deprecated documentation will still be accessible).

Awesome work on UFE 2.0...and I like the better pricing model. My questions are: Will I be able to use GI with this? And are the physics scalable? Such as I can keep my levels and assets real world scale. Making my objects 10x their size is not ideal and I have to work harder to light them. And we should have an option to use Unity scenes as levels and not just prefabd.
