Not UFE, but there are ways to edit (in a limited way) with Unity.

Sometimes existing animations from a character also may be read-only. I believe this is when you keep the animation under the blend/fbx file. However, if you duplicate the specific animation it will create its own instance of the animation and then no longer be read-only. Then you can use the Unity tools (first or third party) to animate them
